A spokesman for the Oregon County Sheriff’s Office in Alton Monday said that he is “recovering and doing well.”
Underwood, a Myrtle, Mo., resident, was first elected in 2008, re-elected in 2012 and recently announced that he would not seek re-election in 2016.
