Los Angeles, Calif. — Teen star Claudia Lee is about to have a good week. The 15-year-old actress, who first got noticed last year in the Disney XD series “Zeke and Luther,” tonight, Feb. 27, will be seen in her part of Magnolia on the CW Network’s “Hart of Dixie,” and she gets to sing on the show.
Claudia, whose single “Hollywood Sunset,” released in late September, was number 36 on the RMR (Roots Music Report) last week, will release her debut album “Here Right Now” tomorrow, Feb. 28.
“Hollywood Sunset” is the lead cut on the album of pop country songs, several of them written by Claudia. For the most part, the album appeals to the angst teen market with cuts like “Papa’s Song,” “Every Single Fight,” “Take My Hand” and the rap/song mix “3 Leaf Clover.”

Another song on the album, “It Gets Better,” was released as a single and video in November 2010; That song was inspired by the It Gets Better Project, a national campaign against bullying.
Lyrics in the songs penned by Claudia should strike a chord with teenagers , especially her “Papa’s Song,” when she wails “I hate you dad why did you leave me?” The song that best shows off her voice is the final cut on the album and tells us “I Want To Be Your Friend.”
Seeking to morph into the country market, Claudia is more pop than country, although she bears a marked physical resemblance to the incredible Taylor Swift. Obviously she would like to join Taylor in country pop stardom, but despite all of her ability to present a song she does not have Taylor’s depth and spark.
This debut CD has been polished and packaged and directed toward a specific audience that could however make Claudia Lee the next female Justin Bieber.
